The MAKING MUSIC SCOTLAND visitor gave the following feedback about the concert on 6 Feb 2010:
The concert planning must have
been a big job and it paid off. The publicity was very good as the audience
showed. Reid Hall is the perfect venue for the orchestra to play.
The orchestra committee always work very hard on the night but it makes
everything run very smoothly.
The choice of music was actually better than last year. Everyone enjoyed all of
it. The percussion group made a wonderful addition to the concert if that was
possible.
The printed programme was once again brilliantly compiled with lots of
information about the music played and the players. It is very good to see lots
of colour in a programme.
What an amazing size of an orchestra. It was very impressive. It was also very
good to see so many young people within the orchestra. TSO has really grown in
strength.
The performance was absolutely amazing with such a wonderful selection of
music. Who could not like it? The music gave something for all the sections of
the orchestra.
Byre Rhythm was a lovely different addition to the concert. It had such a
resounding sound and was wonderful to watch the ladies obviously enjoying
themselves so much.
How can I enthuse enough? This was a brilliant concert from start to finish.
The audience obviously enjoyed it but the orchestra did too. The choice of
music could not have been better and it was all played so well. This orchestra
has just improved so much over the years and it is just a wonderful noise they
make. This was obviously not an easy concert to play but they made it sound so
exciting and atmospheric. Well done again TSO!
